Album Reviews : Dawn of Retribution – Blood Drunk

Mixing the death and Thrash metal sounds together, Geelong band Dawn of Retribution has produced a solid first offering to the metal scene. With solid gigging around Victoria, the band is beginning to build a name for themselves, and this is a deserved thing.

With energetic live performances, and the 3 track demo titled ‘Blood Drunk’ the band has the ability to throw the listener into a groove induced moshing session through addictive drum passages and New Wave of American Metal styled riffing (See Lamb of God). The vocals of front man Clint Williams are powerful however sometimes a bit drowned out in the mixing process.

The outlooks is promising for the band, and with continued song writing development, expect to see the band a lot more in the near future.
