News : Germany’s Obscura touring Australia for the first time this March.
For the first time in the band’s extensive death metal career, Germany’s Obscura will be touring Australia this March with special guests Alarum and Somnium Nox.
From their very beginnings in 2002, the band have demonstrated an uncanny ability for blending different forms of technical, cerebral metal into a coherent synthesis of death, thrash and black metal merged with progressive elements. Not one to bend to convention, OBSCURA distinguished themselves and their unique brand of music via the tasteful use of vocal effects, fretless bass, philosophical underpinnings, and other elements rarely touched on in extreme metal.
In 2018, Obscura released the album ‘Diluvium‘, the fourth and final album in the band’s release of concept albums series with the first three being ‘Cosmogenesis‘ (2009), ‘Omnivium‘ (2011) and ‘Akróasis‘ (2016). The band’s latest release ‘Diluvium‘ is out now via Relapse Records.
Don’t miss your chance to see Obscura in Australia for the very first time this March with special guests Alarum & Somnium Nox, thanks to Soundworks Direct.
