News : Two new singles online from Perth’s techy The Ritual Aura
Well these guys were a pleasant discovery this morning. Perth’s The Ritual Aura are releasing the follow-up to last year’s Laniakea later this year, and have released a couple of pretty damn awesome singles ahead of it.
Both available for free over on Bandcamp both “Ghostgate” and “I Am No Longer I?” are interesting, well crafted tech death tracks with orchestral elements here and there, and a nice thick production. As a bonus the former features Malcolm Pugh (Inferi, Entheos, A Loathing Requiem) and the latter Linus Klausenitzer (Obscura, Alkaloid, Noneuclid) as guests.
“‘I Am No Longer I?’ is very different to anything we’ve released in the past, and one of Tæther’s slower, more melodic tracks.
Lyrically; it follows the first-person account of an individual unaware they have perished – facing the psychological plight of realization, accepting loss and seeking departure – a story which concludes later in the record.
‘Ghostgate’ looks into the void between worlds – a place countless wait in hope of passage, cursed to wander until their spirits have been sated. It also sets a few common themes we’ll be returning to throughout Tæther.”
Tæther is set for release on Nov 11th through Lacerated Enemy Records.
