The single from the Sydney-Siders could only be described as the product of a torrid, sweaty night of passion between the music of Northlane and The Amity Affliction. A raucous, breakdown-filled track, brimming with precision guitars, drums, samples and screams.
According to Polaris drummer, Daniel Furnari, “It seems that we live in a time where there is so much opportunity to create positive social change, to move the world forward, and yet it’s more apparent than ever that certain groups of people still value their own selfish, subjective ideas more than they value another person’s right to the pursuit of happiness and security. “Regress” is a reflection on the fear of the world moving backwards, and a callout to those groups of people to be held accountable for the damage they cause.”
Polaris is a five-piece metalcore band from Sydney’s South. They released their debut single “Summit” in October of 2012 and over the course of the next three years, began earning support slots with local and international acts such as Born of OsirisUpon A Burning BodyOh, SleeperI, The BreatherIn Hearts Wake and Buried In Verona. They released single “Unfamiliar” earlier in 2015 and this single is a sign of big things to come in 2016.

On the back of this news also comes the announcement that the band are heading out on tour nationally to support Dream On, Dreamer. Tickets are available now via the usual outlets.
