News : Lord Symphony pull out of Stormrider Heavy Metal Festival
So the news dropped recently that Indonesia’s Lord Symphony have pulled out of Perth’s massive Stormrider Heavy Metal festival, citing Visa and political issues as the cause. We now know too that rather than fill their vacant spot with another international act, the show runners have instead opted to extend the set of the band’s remaining.
Perth’s epic Stormrider Heavy Metal Festival is now just [two] weeks away.
The annual event celebrates all there is to love about of Power, Thrash, Speed, Prog and Traditional Heavy Metal and will be taking place on Saturday, May 23 at The Civic Hotel.
Since it’s announcement in November last year, there have been some significant line up changes.
Melbourne’s Vanishing Point and Sydney’s Avarin are unable to attend and have been replaced by Harlott and Dethlahem.
Indonesian power metal band, Lord Symphony have also withdrawn from the festival citing visa and political issues – Please see a video statement from the band here.
The festival will not be replacing Lord Symphony at this late stage, instead the local Perth bands who will be opening the show will have extended sets. More local metal, it’s a good thing!
The Stormrider merch range has taken a leap forward this year with long sleeve t-shirts, hoodies and girls shirts available for pre order & short sleeve t-shirts available on the day. Check the images here.
All originals playing bands have supplied a song each which will be available for FREE via the QR code found on the event poster and on the cover of the must-have Stormrider Compilation CD which will also be given away at select promotions and events leading up to the festival
With only a couple weeks to go, Stormrider Festival have also lowered the price for the final weeks to $20 pre sale and $25 door tickets. All presale tickets qualify for the special prize pack too.
