News : Vanishing Point release new album details
Melbourne melodic metallers Vanishing Point have unveiled the album artwork and tracklisting of their forthcoming new album, ‘Distant Is The Sun’. The album artwork was created by a young Polish artist, Anna Bastrzyk. Cool, ain’t it?
The tracklisting:
1. Beyond Redemption (Intro)
2. King Of Empty Promises
3. Distant Is The Sun
4. When Truth Lies
5. Circle Of Fire
6. Let The River Run
7. Denied Deliverance
8. Story Of Misery
9. Era Zero
10. Pillars Of Sand
11. As December Fades
12. Handful Of Hope
13. Walls Of Silence
14. April (Instrumental)
Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann of Orden Ogan fame mixed the album at Greenman Studios and the album was mastered by Dennis Koehne, and was produced by Vanishing Point.
The new album will be available in America on February 18th and Europe on February 21st via the band’s new record label AFM Records. An Australian release date has yet to be announced, but we assume it won’t be to far behind the initial release of the album.
Vanishing Point were founded in 1995 and are one of Melbourne’s best progressive metal exports, supporting the likes of Gamma Ray and Sonata Arctica across Europe in 2001, scoring local supports for Iron Maiden, DragonForce and Helloween on their Australian tours, respectively. Vanishing Point are also one of the first unsigned bands to play the prestigious Wacken Open Air festival in Germany in 2000.
The new Vanishing Point is Silvio Massaro (vocals), Chris Porcianko (guitars), James Maier (guitars), Simon Best (Bass) and Christian Nativo (Drums).
You can catch Vanishing Point back on the live front at the second installment of Feast of Metal in Melbourne on Saturday, 8th February with Barbarion, Hobbs’ Angel of Death, Rise of Avernus, Witchgrinder and heaps more at Revolt Artspace. www.facebook.com/events/1465427003683842
Vanishing Point will also be supporting Bane of Winterstorm at their album launch on Saturday, 22nd February with Melbourne newcomers Trigger and Alaskan Thunder at The Evelyn Hotel. www.facebook.com/events/221203658051921
