News : Eyehategod return to Australia in 2014
New Orleans based stoner/sludge metal band Eyehategod will return to Australia next year to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Eyehategod formed in 1988, and are one of the most well known bands to emerge from the active New Orleans metal scene.
Their vision was pure and their approach was hostile, through the course of their four studio albums, a 5th has been recorded and is yet to be released, EHG have had an undeniable impact on heavy music the World over, they’ve influenced countless bands, helped create the appropriately titled musical sub genre called sludge metal, and they’re still out there playing harder than most bands half their age.
With founding members Jimmy Bower (Guitar) and Mike Williams (Vocals), together with long time serving members Brian Patton (Guitars) and Gary Mader (Bass), Eyehategod now welcome Aaron Hill (Drums) to the EHG family, after the recent passing of the late Joey LaCaze, who was in the band since their inception way back when.
Melbourne based touring company Heathen Skulls will bring Eyehategod back for another round of tour dates in January next year. Click here to attend the Facebook event page.
