News : Japan’s Cyberne return to Australia… with two drummers

By on September 29, 2013

From all reports, Cyberne’s last Aussie tour was a string of devastatingly intense performances, so we’re pretty stoked to see them coming back. But hell, even if they weren’t that great and everybody is lying (which we doubt, obviously), some of these lineups are so killer that it simply doesn’t matter. Plus, you’ll find Melbourne two-piece DEAD on each lineup as well.

“A Cyberne live show is an aurally challenging and physically exhausting affair.
They are truly one of Japans greatest live bands. While they have put out consistently punishing recordings it is live on stage they are at their most potent.

In 2011, punters with their finger on the pulse were lucky enough to catch them along the east coast. After touring Japan with DEAD in 2012 they now return with new material and more ferocity than ever.

The underground music scene of Japan (and more specifically Osaka) has a history of producing, extreme and innovative bands and these guys maintain that legacy.

To witness Cyberne live is to witness carefully constructed sonic mayhem. Fans of Zeni Geva, Jesus Lizard, Unsane and Dillinger Escape Plan should take note.”
