News : Norse release new album “All Is Mist And Fog”
While the whole “judging a book by its cover” thing is often reasonable when it comes to music, don’t do it with Norse. Despite the name and (rather nice) artwork below, there are no atmospheric seventeen-minute songs within.
Instead, the Southern Highlands-based band are providing a rather raw, somewhat technical in-your-face brand of blackened death metal. The new album All Is Mist And Fog is their second full length, and only came out a few days ago. If you haven’t checked it out yet, then the whole thing is streaming over at their Bandcamp page, where you can also buy a digital version.
If, like us, you still prefer to actually hold something in your hands (yeah, that gave us a dirty mental image too…) then you’ll have to catch the band live. Sydney folk can do so at the upcoming Bastardfest show on November 17th at the Sandringham Hotel, where they’ll be playing alongside Psycroptic, Astriaal, Blood Duster, Disentomb and a whole bunch of other awesome bands. Not a show to be missed.
