News : Idylls & Palisades release free split

By on July 19, 2012

Back before Brisbane’s grinding hardcore group Idylls released their ferocious debut album Farewell All Joy, they were already in the studio working on the follow-up release, and here we have it. The six-track split features three tracks from Idylls and three from now-defunct Melbourne group Palisades, originals as well as covers of each other’s songs.

Idylls’ new track “Piss in the Ocean” deserves an extra special mention for being simply brilliant. While their own album sees them power through ten songs in twenty minutes, this new track almost hits the fifteen minute mark and is utterly warped.
