News : Disentomb ink worldwide multi-album deal

Brisbane’s Disentomb are undoubtedly one of the heaviest bands in the country, and a damn fine one too. The fact they were signed to Japanese label Amputated Vein Records (who then released their 2010 debut Sunken Chambers of Nephilim) off the back of a two track demo, without having played a live show, is proof of that. With a second album due out in 2013, the band have just inked a worldwide multi-album contract with the appropriately titled US label Brutal Bands.

Vocalist Jordan James comments: “For years Disentomb have been fans of Brutal Bands, their roster and it’s releases – making it the most logical step for the band to work with them who have a track record for being one of the highest quality and most professional labels in the underground. It’s an honour to be apart of and among a roster with the likes of Devourment, Guttural Secrete, Gorgasm and Abominable Putridity. We’re in full writing mode for the next album due out in 2013 and it is shaping up to be the heaviest and most beastial music we have ever written. Scott of Brutal Bands adds: “I’m really excited about this latest signing. I was able to see DISENTOMB live at Mountains of Death in Switzerland last year. Then after having two bands in our roster recommend them, I contacted them immediately. It’s great to finally work with one of Australia’s sickest bands. I know they will add great value to our label. Fans should expect a massive release and touring in 2013 from DISENTOMB.”
