News : The very last heavy show at the East Brunswick Club (R.I.P.)

By on February 23, 2012

As you probably know, Melbourne’s East Brunswick Club is unfortunately losing it’s band room due to an ownership change. But, there is one very last heavy show being held there this Sunday before it’s renovated into something we don’t need more of (well, we assume). We’ll be down there saying goodbye, throwing down a few pints, and rocking out to a fantastic lineup featuring Whitehorse, Fire Witch (one of their last shows in a long time), Coerce, the absolutely brilliant Encircling Sea, Agonhymn and Dead River. You should too.

“As the doomed vessel leaves the harbor for it’s final voyage, Heathen Skulls will be presenting a Sunday mass mourning of Melbourne bands that’ll be delivering an uncompromising soundtrack to the sounds of a sinking ship, aka, another great Melbourne venue that’s lost the war against corporate misunderstanding made up of penny pinching property developers and share holders.

On Sunday, February 26th @ East Brunswick Club, Heathen Skulls presents an event appropriately titled Heathen Earth, aptly named after Throbbing Gristles swan song of the same name. Help fuck shit up last time at the East Brunswick Club! Head bang till it hurts, stage dive till you bleed, drink till you puke, get stoned till you black out, all is welcome, and highly recommended.

This is your last chance to enjoy the East Brunswick Club as a music venue, the way you remember it, before it gets turned into some piece of shit up market apartment complex and an over priced wine bar.”

Doors open at 4:30pm, tickets are $15 at the door or $12+bf through eastbrunswickclub.com
