News : Soundwave 09 Update: Scars pull out.. Dillinger Escape Plan replace them?

Scars on Broadway have pulled out of the Soundwave Festival 2009, and cancelled ALL scheduled dates. Malakian decided his heart wasn’t in it, so cancelled all shows (read more here)

For better news though, according to the bands myspace page, it appears Dillinger Escape Plan have joined the festivals line up..

“….Oh yeah, the tour dates we were talking about! I almost forgot. 😉 We have a lot of stuff in the works, but we’ll throw out a little treat right now for our fans in Australia. We’re playing Soundwave in 2009!!! We haven’t been added to the official contest webpage yet because the webmasters there are slacking, but we’re definitely playing. Stay tuned for details.”

Pre-sales for all shows are currently running for fans who signed up for it, with tickets going on general sale in the not too distant future.
