News : DEAD release a live album, and need your help

By on February 5, 2012

Melbourne’s DEAD are en route to release the follow up to their recent album THUNDAAAAH! (which we gave a 9/10), but need a bit of your help…

“That warm fuzzy feeling that you previously thought could not be bought now can be purchased for as little as $7. And a few clicks of the keyboard and mouse is far less hassle than helping that struggling mum with a pram onto the tram, or the old bloke next door bring in his shopping.

After several failed attempts at gaining government funding for tours and records (which have all gone ahead and racked up a hefty bill) DEAD are joining the crowd funding bandwagon.

It simple; pledge cash, receive cool stuff in return.”

If you’re not familiar with how Pozible.com works, it’s something like this; there are a whole heap of different price options, where you pledge money and receive certain packages (often featuring limited edition items) in return. But, you only have to pay if the band actually reach the $2000 target they require to fund and release the new album. Full details can be found over at their Pozible page.

One of the things you receive for donating is a brand new live release, recorded at Melbourne’s cosy Old Bar on 24/11/2011 featuring “Of All the People I Hate Most, I Have You More”, “The Cat Who Breathed Colours”, “Bed Bugs”, “Scratching My Arts” and “Prick Rodea”. You can give it a listen and find more details over at weemptyrooms.bandcamp.com
