Returning to the Melbourne Metal scene on January 6 is Metal Central. Hosted by PBS Screaming Symphony and featuring some of the best bands in melodic metal and prog/power, Metal Central is the new place to be on a Friday! Hosted once a month, the night features two bands, DJ’s playing some of the best Prog/Power, CD and DVD prizes and give-aways thanks to Realm of Kaos, Some of the best and most relaxed atmosphere in the scene!

After the release of their 2009 release ‘Beneath it All’ Anarion have proven themselves to be one of the most exciting and solid live bands in Australia, and the world. Released with a stand out show at The Central Club Hotel, Anarion almost tore the place down with their shredding solo’s, powerful lyrics and with singer Ric Mecchi’s massive voice. With a new line up Anarion are ready to unleash some new material upon Metal Central!

Elm Street are quickly gaining momentum in their quest to rule Australian Metal. With their own brand of traditional metal, their 2011 album ‘Barbed Wire Metal’ blew listeners away with their huge sound and huge attitude! Hailed as one of the best new bands in Australia, Elm Street are here to prove why they’re the kings of BARBED WIRE METAL.

Head down to The Central Club Hotel on January 6 and open 2012 with a massive night of metal!
