News : Dawn of Retribution call it a day
Geelong 5-piece death metal act Dawn of Retribution have announced their disbanding after a demo, a well recieved full length, and countless shows around Victoria and Australia.
“After four years, countless shows around Australia, one critically acclaimed full length album and a hell of a lot of beers it with some sadness and some optimism for the future that Dawn of Retribution have decided to call it a day.
This decision is not one that has been made lightly, and as individuals we are looking forward to what the future will present. Some of us will continue on with other musical projects that we hope will be as positively embraced as this one has been, others will treat this as an opportunity to focus on other aspects of life that have been somewhat neglected over the last few years of hard work within the band.
While we believe this to be the right decision, this is a sad time for us. This disbanding is entirely amicable and we all remain and will continue to be very close friends. We have had some of our best experiences in the Australian music scene while working under the ‘Dawn of Retribution’ banner and we have made some amazing, lifelong friends and will retain some everlasting memories.
One final show has been booked, and we promise you this will not be one to miss. Details will be released very soon and we are hoping to see you all there for one final, epic party. So as the dawn becomes a dusk, we look to farewell this chapter of music with one hell of a bang!”
