News : Carnifex playing underage Melbourne show

US death metal band Carnifex have announced the addition of an underage headline show to their Australian visit supporting the Darkest Hour tour. The short notice show kicks off at 2pm at the Phoenix Youth Centre in Footscray (Melbourne) with support from deathcore act State of East London, as well as Jack The Stripper, Her Majesty and Stand Alone. Tickets are available from Oztix.

“Non-stop touring and methodical songwriting have seen Carnifex rise quickly among the modern death metal ranks. Their debut album, The Diseased And The Poisoned, was armed to the teeth with an arsenal of blast beats, machine gun riffs and vocals from the pits of hell, while the musical growth of their 2010 sophomore release, Hell Chose Me, has seen them tour with the likes of As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder. With a live show that reflects the brutality and aggressiveness of their albums, audiences are going to get pummeled.”
