News : Riot! Entertainment Australia signs up Zakk Wylde

Riot! Entertainment Australia have recently signed Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society) to their Australian and New Zealand roster and will be releasing his forthcoming album very soon. Look out for a Zakk Wylde Australian and New Zealand tour coming in 2011.

Riot Entertainment is proud to announce the signing of Black Label Society to its roster for Australia and New Zealand. Riot Entertainment Owner/CEO John Howarth stated, “Riot’s and my history with Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society goes way back to the beginning of Black Label Society’s career. We have released every BLS album down here ever since, except for one. Zakk is like family and it’s an honour to work with BLS again. We are really excited about the reports we are receiving and can’t wait to hear the finished product. We are getting ready to fire up the machine and really push the new album over the top here in Australia. Zakk knows we will get down and dirty again to push this album. We are  looking forward to Zakk and the boys touring again here in 2011!”

Zakk Wylde added, “John and the Riot team have done the BLS camp proud down under. We’re glad to be back with our Aussie brothers and sisters and look forward to tearing it up in Australia in early 2011.”

BLACK LABEL SOCIETY’s new album will be released during the Winter in Australia. The CD is currently being recorded at Zakk’s brand new Southern Californian home studio. The studio was built by Zack Fagan of Under The Wire, a Studio City, California-based company which specializes in the installation of commercial and private recording studios and post-production complexes.

In the two decades since Ozzy Osbourne hired him away from his job at a New Jersey gas station to become his new guitarist, Zakk Wylde has established himself as a guitar icon known and revered the world over. Writing and recording with Osbourne led to multi-platinum success, inspiring him to create the now legendary Black Label Society in 1998.

In the decade plus since, BLS has turned the notion of what a rock band should be upside down by inspiring legions of fans (known as Berserkers) all over the world to follow the mantra: Strength, Determination, Merciless, Forever (SDMF for short). Wylde and his Berserkers have established a heavy metal institution true to the vision of uncompromising, unfiltered and unrestrained rock n’ roll. Wylde has won nearly every guitar award imaginable, graced countless guitar magazine covers and is a major influence to a new battalion of rock guitarists. Black Label Society last toured Australia in September 2006 to sold out houses.
