News : Mastodon support bands announced

By on January 15, 2010

Supports for Mastodon‘s Big Day Out sideshows have been announced. The down-tempo Summonus have scored the Sydney support spot, with grind band The Day Everything Became Nothing playing in Melbourne.

“Since forming in 2007, Summonus have mixed multiple styles including grind, hardcore, punk and rock to play bone crushing slabs of low end riffage that is influenced by the likes of Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost and High on Fire.

Featuring members of the notorious F**K I’m Dead and Blood Duster, The Day Everything Became Nothing deliver extreme percussive grind that is characterised by its dirty, muddy sound. As a support they will bring a heaving heavy noise to back up the brutality that is Mastodon.”

You can catch Mastodon at one of these shows:

w/ Summonus

28th Jan 2010 @ The Palace, Melbourne
