By on August 2, 2008

Melbourne-based band Rainshadow will the track “Omega” included on the sampler CD with Issue #174 of UK metal magazine Terrorizer. The “Fear Candy” CD will feature a host of unsigned bands. This issue comes out in England on August 14th, and various stores in Australia about a month or two later.

Rainshadow have stated:

With the magazine’s distrubution touching on 15,000, as well as copies of the c.d being sent to other publications and all metal labels of import, this is an exciting opportunity for Rainshadow to be heard by a wider audience.

“Omega” comes of the bands debut album “End Songs” that was released late 2007. You can hear a few tracks from the album at the bands Myspace.

In other news, Rainshadow have recently acquired two new band members, bringing them even closer to the live scene. Chris Doig (from Carcharoth) has joined on guitars and Joel Bickerton on bass guitar. The band are still looking for a new keyboarder, so if you are interested you can contact the band via their Myspace. Rainshadow plan to be playing live all throughout 2009.

Chris Doig is joining on guitars, and Joel Bickerton will be the new bass player.

Both are cool guys and great musicians and we can’t wait to get back on stage.

A search has just begun for a new keyboard player, so if you have an affinity with the ivories and a love of dark music, let as know.
