News : Astriaal finish long awaited follow-up to Renascent Misanthropy

By on October 26, 2009

Brisbane Black metal band Astriaal have announced that their long awaited follow-up to Renascent Misanthropy have been completed and will be released in the coming months.

“After a period of perceived inactivity to those outside the circle, the horns of reprisal are resonating once again… the visceral incarnate has been awakened….

2009 has marked Astriaal’s return the studio to document their long awaited follow-up to 2003’s ‘Renascent Misanthropy’ album. After tracking the as yet untitled new album at various studios throughout Australia, Astriaal journeyed to Molla Lydstudios [Ulver, Arcturus, Aura Noir, Mayhem etc] in Gjerstad, Norway in August to finalise the new album with Knut Magne Valle [Arcturus] behind the engineers desk. The mastering has now also been completed. Some six years since the release of the landmark ‘RM’ opus, this new darker chapter promises to be a unique variant to the now saturated dialect of black metal… Nauseatingly cold and haunting in extracts, yet extolled with Astriaal’s violent presence throughout… the return is drawing near…”
