News : The Omnific and Osaka Punch join forces for 3 exclusive shows
Come November, two of Australia’s most charasmatic heavy bands The Omnific and Osaka Punch will join forces for three exclusive shows in Australia. Melbourne fans will get their chance on Saturday, November 10th at The Evelyn with special guests Terrestrials & Slow Talk, then Brisbane at The Zoo on Friday, 16th November with Sum Of Us, and finally hitting Maroochydore at the Solbar with special guest Muules.
Sat 10 Nov – The Evelyn, Melbourne
w/ Terrestrials & Slow Talk (“Limbo” single launch)
Fri 16 Nov – The Zoo, Brisbane
w/ Sum Of Us
Sat 17 Nov – Solbar, Maroochydore
w/ Muules
Add to that, the single tour is in celebration of a brand new single from The Omnific, entitled ‘Erin’. The new track was produced by band member Toby Peterson-Stewart and then mixed by Forrester Savell (Dead Letter Circus, Cog, Karnivool) and Mastered by Ermin Hamidovic of Systematic Productions, with additional programming by Jamie Marinos. A film clip will follow for the complex, intricate and intimate track, closer to the tour dates.
Toby Peterson-Stewart, bassist comments:
“The inspiration for ‘Erin’ came from being admitted to hospital and needing a creative outlet to cope with the stress and boredom. The story is entirely interpretive as the music can represent a variety of aspects in life.”
Tickets go on sale today for The Omnific and Osaka Punch’s joint tour in November at Oztix. For more information about each band, go to www.beardfoot.com.au/artists.
