News : Tasmanian death metallers Psycroptic release teaser for a potential new album
Tasmanian death metal ensemble, Pyscroptic, has released a rather vague image on their Facebook page relating to an upcoming date, Friday, September 7th 2018. No other details have been divulged to the public, but we can only speculate it could be the announcement of a new album. The band’s last release was the self-titled sixth studio album in 2015 through the LA-based record label, Prosthetic Records.
Pyscroptic performed a stack of local shows to coincide with the release of the self-titled album, supporting Cattle Decapitation in Australia then venturing to the US with Brisbane based death metal heroes Disentomb to support Aborted.
Psycroptic recently finished up a national tour with US tech death kings Archspire and Melbourne based death metallers, Hadal Maw. Earlier this year, Pyscroptic performed at the inaugural Download Festival Melbourne alongside some other great local metal talent, including; High Tension, King Parrot, Northlane and international acts Amon Amarth, Prophets of Rage, Sabaton, Arch Enemy and Gojira to name but a few.
We will bring you more details as they become available. Stay tuned to the official Psycroptic Facebook page for further details.
Check out the band’s last single ‘The World Discarded’ now streaming on the official Prosthetic Records Youtube channel.
