News : Download Festival returns in 2019 to Melbourne and Sydney
The wait is finally over, folks! After the hugely successful debut of Download Festival in Melbourne this past March with over 30,000 heavy metal alumni descending upon Flemington Racecourse to partake in a day of hard and heavy music with the likes of Korn, Prophets of Rage, King Parrot, Sabaton, High Tension, Psycroptic, Arch Enemy, Clowns, Suicidal Tendencies and a plethora of other amazing bands.
The organisers behind Download Festival in Australia have today confirmed the dates and venues for the 2019 instalment, returning to Melbourne and making its glorious debut in Sydney in March 2019.
Sydney will see its Download Festival debut on Saturday, 9th March at Parramatta Park and Melbourne will get its turn on Monday, 11th March during the long weekend at Flemington Racecourse.

No word as of yet of who will be performing at next year’s Download Festival in Melbourne and Sydney, but promoters promise “It’s a corker!”. Keep your eyes glued to the Download Festival Australia Facebook page for further updates.
