News : Sydney’s Lo! release “Gods of Ruin” music video.
Sydney sludge metal ensemble, Lo! released their third full-length album ‘Vestigial’ late last year through Pelagic Records which has been receiving solid reviews from fans and media alike. The band has completed work on their new music video “Gods of Ruin” which is now available for streaming via the band’s official Youtube channel. Watch it below.
Lo! guitarist Carl Whitebread and bassist Adrian Shapiro conceived the idea for the music video wanting to find an interesting way to utilise live footage in one of their music videos. Carl Whitebread completed the visual effects over the course of several months. The end result is an errie and exciting take on live music footage which was filmed on tour in late 2017 by a friend of the band in Romania. The music video makes use of a single shot representing the band’s visceral live shows.
Vocalist, Sam Dillon comments:
“Gods Of Ruin is a take on the American phenomena of mass gun ownership and the tragic reality of an armed population triggered constantly by fear and ignorance. We become a flood of bullets now”.
Lo! is a combined effort featuring Carl Whitbread (guitarist), Sam Dillon (vocals), Adrian Griffin (drums) and Adrian Shapiro (bassist).
The band’s new album Vestigial is out now via Nerve Gas Australia. Click here to secure your copy on multiple formats.
