News : Melbourne’s Dream On Dreamer reveal new single, album and tour dates
Melbourne metalcore five-piece Dream On Dreamer have today announced their new album, single and upcoming tour dates. The new single Let It In, comes from the band’s forthcoming new album ‘It Comes And Goes’. Watch it below.
New single ‘Let It In’ is bursting with ferocity and intensity, both lyrically and musically and details the band’s guitarist and vocalist Zach Britt’s personal struggle in a toxic relationship.
“The whole affair made me really doubt myself in a way that I’d never experienced before on that level. The song’s lyrics explain that I’ve travelled a long way towards my dreams and aspirations and I also have a responsibility to a lot of people that fell by the wayside with her around.” – Zach Britt
The video for ‘Let It In’, directed by Jason Eshraghian, was inspired by the Ram Das’ book Be Here Now which was given to Britt by a close friend during the time of his struggle.
Catch Dream On Dreamer on the following tour dates.
Saturday March 17 – Crowbar, Brisbane
Thursday March 29 – Oxford Arts Factory, Sydney
Friday March 30 – Hype Nightclub, Adelaide
Saturday 7th April – Frankston Mechanics Hall – Melbourne
Saturday April 21 – Railway Club, Darwin
Formed in 2009, ARIA award-nominated act Dream On Dreamer have had a successful, yet also trying career. From line-up changes shifts within industry collaborations, health scares, to even having to face legal issues to keep the band actively touring in Australian. Amongst all of this tribulation the band has well and truly re-found its footing and is ready to conquer the heavy music scene
Since their inception, Dream on Dreamer hasn’t skipped a beat, with every release charting highly in the ARIA and iTunes charts. The band have also toured just about every market imaginable – from multiple expeditions to the US and Europe, as well as Russia, Japan, South East Asia, New Zealand, and of course their home turf of Australia. Supporting some of the biggest names in the genre (Avenged Sevenfold, Pierce the Veil, A Day to Remember, Sleeping with Sirens and more).
Recent singles ‘Don’t Lose Your Heart’ and ‘Stay’ have racked up a combined 11,500,000+ streams across Spotify and YouTube and this upward trajectory is set to continue with the band now gearing up to release their fourth studio record, It Comes and Goes.
Recorded in-house with guitarist/producer Callan Orr, the band has come out with a well- refined bank of riffs and catchy vocal hooks that are sure to leave a lasting impression. The band also teamed up with the formidable Dave Petrovic (who produced Dream on Dreamer’s debut EP ‘Hope’) to capture vocals at a world-class production level.
