News : Mayhem bring ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’ tour to Australia
‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’ is the debut album by Norwegian black metal band, Mayhem, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential black metal albums of all time. The album’s conception began in 1987, but due to the suicide of vocalist Per “Dead” Ohlin and the murder of guitarist Øystein “Euronymous” Aarseth, the album’s release was delayed for several years. The album has since garnered the reputation of being the most influential album in black metal history.
Australia will have the unique opportunity to witness an incredible black metal event featuring iconic Mayhem members Atilla Csihar, Necrobutcher and Hellhammer next January. Mayhem will be performing ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’ in its entirety in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Hobart. Sadly no Adelaide date has been announced.
MAYHEM and supports performing at:
Jan 16th – Perth, Capitol
Jan 17th – Melbourne, Max Watts
Jan 18th – Sydney, Max Watts
Jan 19th – Brisbane, TBC
Jan 21st – Hobart, Mona Foma
Tickets on sale Tuesday, 17th October. Click here to secure your tickets.
