News : Earth Rot unveil new music video
West Australia’s Earth Rot have dropped the first music video from their soon to be released 2017 album Renascentia.
Waves of the Blackest Mire is the name of the track and it’s a concise little number, bursting at the seams with everything we’ve come to love about these guys. The riffs are evil and demonic yet there’s no denying that they’re groovy as hell too. The production of both the song and the accompanying video is super crisp but the over all vibe is grimy and dark. The musicianship seems to have stepped up another from their previous releases, with Colin Dickie providing some silky leads which add an additional layer to the bands sound.
I’m enjoying this track just as much, if not more than anything the lads have released previously, which is a fair sign that the new album is going to be a good one! The album can be pre-ordered via the band’s bamdcamp page (http://earthrot.com.au/album/
Earth Rot have never been a band to shy away from touring and true to form the 4 piece are about to embark on yet another European tour along side Gorgoroth, Melechesh and Incite. The HM-2 Lords from sleepy old Perth continue to fly the flag for Australian Metal and with their new album shaping up to be their finest work to date you just get the feeling that 2017 will be a very productive year for them.
