News : Desecrator sign with Dinner For Wolves for release of debut album
Melbourne thrashers, Desecrator have made the exciting announcement that they have signed with local Melbourne-based label, Dinner For Wolves (Superheist, The Screaming Jets). The news arrives with the announcement that Desecrator will further release their highly anticipated debut album, To The Gallows, with their new label.
Desecrator have a sound that has been compared to early Testament, Death Angel and Sacred Reich. Their twin guitar attack, punishing rhythm section and blood soaked vocals have united the old guard and recruited the new. The four piece stay grounded in the roots of thrash while branching into modern territory. It’s the best of both worlds.
To The Gallows was recorded at Toyland Studios and Goatsound Studios, with mastering duties courtesy of Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. The album has been slated for a March 2017 release, with worldwide release dates to be announced soon.
Desecrator’s frontman, Riley Strong had this to say of the bands’ signing:
“We dodged a studio album for 7 years, 5 international tours, countless Australian shows, a record, a live album and a tape but the time has come for us to wreck your hearing with proper studio production… We can’t wait.”
Further, Dinner For Wolves representative Rick Butterworth commented:
“We’re super excited to be working with Desecrator. We regard them as undoubtedly one of the hottest thrash bands to be emerge from the Aussie metal scene in the modern era.
These guys carry the torch for hard-hitting, no-holes-barred classic thrash metal. We can’t wait unleash the new album here and throughout the world. ‘To the Gallows’ is truly a brutal record and we’re stoked to be adding the boys to the Dinner for Wolves roster.”
