News : The Eternal debut new song ‘The Wound’
Melbourne melodic doom metallers The Eternal have released their new track ‘The Wound’, taken from their upcoming sixth studio album ‘Waiting For The Endless Dawn’. The band recently premiered the track at The Corner Hotel on December 10th in Melbourne. The new track clocks in at over 12 minutes on the live premiere performance below, however the upcoming studio version has been estimated at a whopping 20 minutes.
With the release of ‘Waiting For The Endless Dawn’ slated for release later this year, renowned Portuguese film marker Guilherme Henriques Silva has been enlisted to make a short film for ‘The Wound’ which is currently in production. Although not to much has been revealed about the album, it does once again feature keyboard performances by Martin Powell (My Dying Bride / Cradle of Filth) and guest vocals by Mikko Kotamäki (Swallow The Sun). It is also the bands first album to feature new guitarist Richie Poate who is also in long standing Melbourne band Dreadnaught.
To date The Eternal have released 5 acclaimed studio albums and toured internationally, sharing the stage with such bands as Katatonia, Amorphis, Anathema and Opeth to name a few.
