News : Ne Obliviscaris release ‘Sarabande To Nihil’ & ‘Hiraeth’ via Patreon
Melbourne’s Ne Obliviscaris are giving away free digital copies of their long sold out and extremely limited 2014 crowd funded EP’s, Sarabande To Nihil & Hiraeth. The downloads are included with high fidelity .wav files, artwork and lyrics). All you have to do is become a member of the band’s Ne Obluminati Pateron campaign. These EP’s feature re-recorded tracks from our early years and the Portal of I era. They initially sold out in days back in 2014 and have been 100% unavailable in any format since then. The band have stated this will be the only way to listen to the EP’s as no future physical releases
The band aim to become the first band in history to be completely crowd funded by their devoted and supporting fans with a membership drive running until the end of February with the aim to reach a $15,000 USD target. The band are currently sitting at $8,400 on their official Patreon page. Those keen to get their hands on the re-released digital singles or want to find out more about the Patreon campaign can click here.
Anyone who signs up before the end of February will receive:
$1+ a month:
* Sarabande To Nihil EP (Digital Wav Files & Booklet – including LYRICS (never been released until now!)
$5+ per month BOTH:
* Sarabande To Nihil EP (Digital Wav Files & Booklet – including LYRICS (never been released until now!)
* Hiraeth EP (Digital Wav Files & Booklet – including LYRICS which have never been released until now!)
Tim Charles explains the concept behind the Patreon campaign.
Tim Charles was also apart of the BigSound convention last year, explaining in detail about the Patreon campaign and the reasons behind the campaign.
Here’s a short, but sweet message from the band about the Patreon campaign.
“It takes 2 minutes to sign up. No lock in contracts. No long term commitment. You can change your pledge up & down month to month as your personal finances permit. All we are asking is that if you love our music, get involved, pledge via Patreon, get loads of stuff from us in return and help us make our dream of doing this band for a living a reality!”
