News : Perth’s Nucleust release new video ‘Of King And Tree’
Perth based cerebral metallers Nucleust have released a brand new music video for Of King And Tree, taken from their recently released EP, Resistivity. Out now via Rockpit Records.
The band have had a big year, taking in support slots for Lacuna Coil and Soilwork, the recording and release of the aforementioned Resistivity EP, and touring nationally.
A synopsis of the new music video.
The story centres around a young girl fighting for freedom against the dictator like King of her city. A tyrannical leader who has control of the lives of boys and girls and who disposes of those who oppose him.
Fleeing the King’s grip after he demands she lose her virginity to him (as he does with ALL girls in the city) and being pursued by the King’s men who are ordered to rape then kill her, the girl runs towards a giant tree in hopes to hide behind it.
When she reaches the tree, it comes alive and absorbs her body into itself. The tree then begins slaying the soldiers with it’s branches killing them all.
The pattern repeats with other escaping girls fleeing the King’s grip until he learns of the tree and orders it’s destruction.
The final battle is one you will have to watch!
Nucleust have announced a special video launch show for Of King And Tree on Saturday, December 10th at the Amplifer Bar in Perth, with supports from Forstora, Shagrila and Remission. Let everyone know you’re going by attending the official Facebook event page.
The bands signature blend of unpredictable riffs combinations, pounding poly-rhythms and sophisticated lyrical motives continue to push them into new territory.
Inspired by everything from Classical Music to Doom & Goth, Thrash & Death, Jazz and Progressive Rock/Metal, Nucleust create music, that reflects what they perceive is happening in the real world, channeled through their own screaming critique.
Formed in 2013, Nucleust released their debut EP Fractured Equilibrium in 2014 which allowed them to build an extensive fanbase in their home state and also led to a six date tour of Indonesia.
The EP received solid local and US metal radio play too.
