News : Nucleust announce final shows for 2016 + begin writing of debut album!
Perth cerebral metallers Nucleust have had a huge 2016, taking in support slots for Lacuna Coil and Soilwork, the recording and release of EP Resistivity, and riding off the back of a successful Australian tour last month. Now, the band have announced a final set of two shows to cap off this year: one supporting At Depths EP launch show, and another for the video launch show of their track, “Of King and Tree” (taken from Resistivity). The video will be released in the coming weeks.
The bands signature blend of unpredictable riffs combinations, pounding poly-rhythms and sophisticated lyrical motives continue to push them into new territory.Inspired by everything from Classical Music to Doom & Goth, Thrash & Death, Jazz and Progressive Rock/Metal, Nucleust create music, that reflects what they perceive is happening in the real world, channeled through their own screaming critique.Formed in 2013, Nucleust released their debut EP Fractured Equilibrium in 2014 which allowed them to build an extensive fanbase in their home state and also led to a six date tour of Indonesia.
The EP received solid local and US metal radio play too.
Nucleust are currently in the process of writing their debut full-length album, which will be released sometime next year. International and interstate touring in support of the album’s release are currently in the works.
A comment from Nucleust about supporting Soilwork and Lacuna Coil this year,
Shay William Graham Smith (drums)
Lacuna coil were awesome. Very friendly and humble and an incredibly tight band. They sounded so good live.
Writing the album is a very interesting process, there is a lot of thought that goes into our songs and this time round we are doing even more.
We are really getting into the nuts and bolts of the songs trying to make the best statement while keeping the production sane.
Max Palizban (guitars)
This year has been amazing so far. Supporting pioneers such as Lacuna Coil and Soilwork have opened our eyes to quality live performance and how massive tours get done by big names.Writing and recording Resistivity have been one of greatest thing we have done as a band. This EP has been a constant success so far which gives us such positive energy to produce better and crazier music.
Shannon Marston (vocals)
Touring is the best experience seeing the world and sharing experiences and energy with new fans is the best feeling! As for the album we are going to put everything we have into it and vocally I just want to put my
life force into it like all my emotion and energy, my fears, my failures and my successes all revolving around continuing to push boundaries and pushing myself to my limit to become the best i can, its all made possible
by the love and support of my brothers in the band and their ability to move my emotions with the instrumentals they create.
Josh Fox (bass)
Playing shows with the legendary Soilwork and Lacuna Coil was a great experience for all of us. Was a real eye opener to watch how it all works behind the scenes.
Writing and recording Resistivity was a great learning curve for me, and the end product just sounds fucking fantastic.
Going over east with my band of brothers was an awesome experience and great to check out the metal scene on the east coast.
