News : AndrewHaug.com launch Pozible campaign to keep the radio station on air
Since its inception in late 2012, AndrewHaug.com has been Australia’s first and only dedicated 24/7 rock-metal station. Launched by radio personality, Andrew Haug, and the longest-running former host of Triple J’s National Weekly Radio/Metal Radio Program from 2001-2011, the station is 100% officially licensed, but it also isn’t cheap.
To meet the demands of a changing market, a Pozible crowdfunding campaign has been created to help keep the station alive and running. Perks including merch, the opportunity to create your very own playlist for the radio station, and even the chance to host a session are on offer.
“How the funds will be used”:
By being a part of this awesome campaign it will continue to keep us on the air officially by doing what we all love which is supporting HEAVY MUSIC 24/7!
We are proud to state that this station is ‘100% officially licensed’, which means we PAY to PLAY your beloved artists which I’m sure you all agree that ALL artists need & deserve to be paid for their creations!
Below are some Technical requirements needed to keep up with ongoing running costs for the station.
New broadcast console A&H XB-14-2 Compact Radio Broadcast Mixer $2000+
Yearly Webcasting Licence Fees – APRA/AMCOS Organisation $1100+
Quarterly Licence Webcasting Fees – PPCA Organisation $1100+
Ongoing Data Usage / Internet streaming costs $1000+
Website Hosting, Upgrades, additions – $500+
24/7 Tech support – Local & International – $300+
At the time of posting, AUD $2592 of the projected AUD $6666 has been raised by 25 supporters, and with 40 days still left of the campaign, check it out and help support heavy music and the Aussie music industry.
