News : Caligula’s Horse tour supports announced
Brisbane based prog outfit Caligula’s Horse announced earlier this month a nationwide tour dubbed the ‘Hands Shape Stone’ tour, which would kick off in November and continue throughout December.
In addition, Caligula’s Horse will also be headlining this year’s Prog Fest in Melbourne, alongside Chaos Divine, Circles and many more.
Below you can find a quick run down of the supports, and what to expect from each show across Australia.
Brisbane: Osaka Punch; turning heads nationwide right now, the genre fusing masters will bring their stage melting live show to the fore!Dyssidia; Adelaide’s foremost prog metal act craft unique, breathtaking soundscapes and intricate rhythms that are leaving crowds mesmerised.Kodiak Empire intelligently fuse flavours to create a dramatic blend of alternative/progressive rock.
Perth: Tempest Rising are one of the west’s hardest working metal bands. Equally at home sharing stages with heavy metal bands as they are with rock and prog, their blistering songs command attention.Dyssidia will again mesmerise, and three piece local instrumental outfit Bury The Heard will bring their best crushing guitar riffs and beautiful melodies to the occasion.
Adelaide: Local heavyweights Dyssidia will have their home town crowd primed for the evening’s headliners,Canephora take audiences on a wild journey of ethereal highs and darkest lows via their metal/jazz hybrid style and I, Icarus will deliver a set of metalcore madness.
Canberra: Despite Eviction are crowd pleasers. Delivering catchy sing alongs and heavy hitters in equal measure.
Tundrel deliver their heaviness via emotion, not riffage. With Floyd and Zeppelin-esque interludes tugging at your soul.
Newcastle: The Loom Of Time will bring their crushing Hunter Valley blend of black/death/doom metal to the coast.
Sydney: Hemina deliver four part vocal harmonies, that blend organically with their prog-rock proficiency & crushing djent groove to create something truly unique.Sevsons have upped their game after shifting from post hardcore to their true calling of prog rock and are the perfect openers for the night!
