News : Airbourne unveil rip-roaring new music video, “Rivalry”!
Australia’s strongest modern hard rock export, Airbourne, have released a brand new music video for their track, “Rivalry”, off their soon-to-be-released fourth studio album, Breakin’ Outta Hell; which drops in three days time via Spinefarm Records / Caroline Australia.
The music video was filmed in the UK & Ireland through Dark Fable Media, and sets a new precedent for the quality of Airbourne’s music videos: telling the intimate story of a one-on-one conflict.
Check out the new video below!
From the mouth of frontman Joel O’Keeffe,
“The lyric probably came from us watching ‘Football Factory’ or ‘The Firm’, one of those kind of films, and I think at the time there was a big grand prix race on, lots of intense rivalries being reported in the media… plus, as with other songs we’ve done, there’s an aspect here of rock ‘n’ roll taking a stand against those corporate forces that seek to restrict our freedoms, that try to shut down the little live venues, leaving bands with nowhere to really hone their craft…”
A heavier, stomping, groove-laden track, but with just as much bite and grit as you’d expect from the Warrnambool-born four-piece, the new single off Airbourne’s 11-track album will feature production from Bob Marlette, with engineering/mixing by Mike Fraser.
In January 2017, Airbourne will return to Australia to tour Breaking Outta Hell, thanks to Tone Deaf. Tickets are on sale now.
