News : Churches of Steel Heavy Metal Festival hits Adelaide in February 2017 + First Lineup!
Get pumped for February 2017 when Adelaide’s one-day traditional heavy metal festival, Churches of Steel, arrives. Taking place across two stages on Saturday, February 4th, the event will be held at the Producers Bar.
This will be the festival’s first year for what will become a new annual event in Adelaide. It began with a simple mantra, bring a one-day fest to Adelaide celebrating traditional forms of heavy metal music:
During the winter months of 2016 the longstanding idea of creating a one day fest in Adelaide that’s dedicated to traditional forms of Heavy Metal was put into motion. Inspired by the great Australian festivals such as Steel Assassins, Stormrider & Legions of Steel it was time for McEwen Management to really wield the steel in the ‘City of Churches’ and start an annual event to support Trad/Speed/Power/Prog/Thrash and the Melodic sides of Metal so CHURCHES OF STEEL was born.
