News : Ne Obliviscaris bassist releasing solo album under Infinite Density
Well the term ‘solo album’ isn’t 100% accurate given Hadal Maw/A Million Dead Birds Laughing vocalist Ben Boyle is on vocal duties, but that’s ultimately what Infinite Density is. As you can read here;
“Many of you know me predominately as a bass player. However 9 years ago I walked into a guitar shop and purchased a 6 string guitar to start working on my own compositions. I have so much music running through my head that I could not express solely through Ne Obliviscaris. I needed an outlet to combine my love for Death Metal and Cosmology and that’s how Infinite Density was born. At the time my composition exceeded my technical abilities. I locked myself in my bedroom for many years shredding my fingers to the bone and wearing down picks to circles. 9 years on, and thousands of hours of practice later I have written around 60 various songs. After much procrastination, re recording, mixing, tweaking, and self doubt. This is the first album finished and ready for the public to hear containing the first 9 songs I wrote on guitar. I am beyond proud of this accomplishment.” – Brendan Brown
And the first track released is bloody good! It’s unlikely this will ever be more than a studio project but given the amount of tracks he has apparently written, there’ll no doubt be more on the way. For now Recollapse of the Universe is out on July 29 with pre-orders available through Bandcamp.
