News : Jack The Stripper Unveil New Video & Add Europe and Japan Dates to Tour
Melbourne hardcore five-piece, Jack The Stripper, yesterday premiered their brand new music video for single, “Nibiru”. Presented by Metal Hammer, the song is an unnerving and bleak exercise in raw catharsis.
As explained by band frontman, Luke Frizon,
“With so many different platforms shared by media and your peers telling you how to feel, how to think, how to view yourself every day – it’s a given that disillusionment and dissociation will strike a lot of people, and cause suffering. Nibiru is for those people and seeks to illustrate the sense of loss, separation, and worthlessness that they feel.”
As explained in the presser,
While the lyrics address subjects of abandonment and feelings of hopelessness in Nibiru, the music transmits an unnerving, nightmarish atmosphere which the band felt needed to be appropriately conveyed. The end product is this video, providing both long-time and new listeners with a complete spectrum of all the elements that make up the foundation of this song. Night terrors, the unknown, plenty of spit and bitterness – this is Nibiru.

With Jack The Stripper’s ‘Nibiru Tour’, they will be taking in dates in Australia (kicking off this month), and have just added dates in Europe (including festival appearances at the likes of Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic, and Romania’s Rockstadt) and Japan. It’ll be their second visit back for the latter.
Jack The Stripper have been assaulting audiences everywhere with their fierce and innovative brand of chaotic hardcore, a relentless work ethic and an atypical, ferocious on-stage prowess.
Their debut album Raw Nerve is a sonic powerhouse of off-kilter rhythms, punishing vocals and extremity. Following it’s release, the band toured Australia and Asia extensively, supporting international heavyweights such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Fear Factory, Cancer Bats, King Parrot, Northlane, Ne Obliviscaris, iwrestledabearonce, Black Tongue, Carnifex, Rolo Tomassi, and many more.
The Nibiru tour will see out Raw Nerve’s album cycle and the band are currently hard at work finalising their second album, which is due to be released in the not too distant future.
Jack The Stripper’s live show is a boundary-pushing, total sensory-inclusive, interactive extreme experience. It is one of the most incredibly intense live shows you will ever see, and the band are on the road to becoming one of Australia’s most recognised extreme music exports.
Tickets are on sale now through Wild Thing Presents.
