Japanese death metal act, Defiled, will mark their triumphant return on July 8th when the band release their fifth full-length studio album, ‘Towards Inevitable Ruin’, through label Season of Mist.
Their first new album since 2011’s ‘In Crisis’, with new track “Fear From Above” – a heavily raw and stripped-back effort from the band – Defiled tap into the blood-soaked, maggot-rotted origins of their chosen genre, delivering an unforgiving and putrescent entry into the death metal genre.
Band mastermind/guitarist Yusuke Sumita had this to say on the new track:
“The time has come to offer you another track from our upcoming album ‘Towards Inevitable Ruin’. We are well aware that this production deviates quite a bit from the current standard, because it has a lot of vibration, but hopefully many of you guys enjoy our effort to achieve an ‘organic sound’. We have worked hard on it and we are very proud of having a natural rich tone… no regrets!”
Metal Obsession is proud to offer the exclusive premiere below. Check it out!
‘Towards Inevitable Ruin’ is out July 8 via Season of Mist. Pre-order now on iTunes.
