News : Slipknot Return To Australia This October
After a series of photos emerged online the other day teasing less-than-subtly the arrival of US act Slipknot with posters pasted about different Australian streets with the tagline, “Prepare for Hell”, the announcement that the Iowa-based band will soon be returning to Aussie shores was today made official.
Slipknot were over here only last year as a part of the final instalment of Soundwave. However, this will be the band’s first headline arena shows in Australia since 2012.
Playing along the East Coast this October, the announcement arrives off the back of Slipknot sharing the news that their own annual festival Knotfest would be this year joining with Ozzfest. With Slipknot already touring heavily off the back of their latest album, ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’, given frontman Corey Taylor’s comments last year about wanting to take “a couple years off” after their recent tours, this could be your last chance for a little while to see Slipknot live.
