News : Tassie band Throes signs to Aesthetic Death Records for debut album
It’s always nice to see Australian bands signing to international labels and Tassie’s Throes is one of the latest. The long-time-coming debut (which you can read the history of over on their website, excerpt below) This Viper Womb will be coming out through Aesthetic Death Records.
““This Viper Womb” isn’t a thrown together collection of songs. It’s a series, a legitimate body of work. The track order is deliberate. It should be experienced as a trip through the 1st track right through to the 10th. People that still care about experiencing albums in this way will be rewarded with this album. It’s so dense, so sonically full, so heavy in sound, theme, vibe and intent, so atmospheric, so laboured on and thought out to every last conceivable detail that it will continue to reward the discerning listener for years. I am confident of this and can’t wait to set it amongst the true believers and unknowing disciples.”
As you’ll find out reading the above, This Viper Womb was all written and performed by one man, Trent Griggs, with some addition vocals handled by James Ludbrook of Damaged and Terrorust, and session drums by Kevin Talley of Suffocation, Dååth and too many more to mention.
It’s due out on June 29th, check out an early track over on the Throes website and the artwork below.
