News : Angelus Apatrida Announce Australian Tour This May
Spanish thrash act Angelus Apatrida have announced they will be performing three shows in Australia as a part of their larger Pacific Assault Tour, which includes dates in China, Japan and Taiwan.
This will be the band’s first ever tour in Australia, and they will be hitting Aussie shores this May.
The four-piece was formed in the year 2000 in Albacete, an isolated small Spanish town in the middle of nowhere. “Albacete has no musical infrastructures at all, so we had to fight really hard and do everything by ourselves” states guitarist, singer and mastermind Guillermo Izquierdo.
The band’s name mixes Spanish and Latin language and can be translated into English as renegade angels. Influenced by the early Bay Area Thrash Metal and N.W.O.B.H.M. scenes ANGELUS APATRIDA crafted their career with two independent releases before signing with Century Media to release their last 3 albums: Clockwork (2010), The Call (2012) and Hidden Evolution (2015) which made it to an impressive #2 on the Spanish Charts.
Having shared the stage with legends such as Slayer, Megadeth, Testament and Kreator and clocking up some serious tour miles with the likes of Arch Enemy, Warbringer, Skeletonwitch, Havok and Dying Fetus, ANGELUS APATRIDA will be taking no prisoners this May.
“We are really exited about our first time in Australia and we promise it’s gonna be killer. Hope you guys are ready because this is gonna be a a total ear-shaking, heads-exploding, earth-quaking and house-rocking hell of a tour!”
