News : Espionage Guitarist Leaves, Band Seeks Replacement
In a sad turn of events, Oliver “Ollie” Raabe, guitarist for Melbourne-based traditional heavy metallers Espionage, has made the decision to leave the band to “pursue other projects”.
In light of this, Espionage are now looking for a new guitarist to join their ranks. Details are to come, but you can contact the band now to express your interest at: espionage_bookings@live.com.
Of the development, Ollie had this to say:
“I regret to inform everyone that I will be leaving the band. I want the freedom to pursue other projects. I wish Andy, Den and Shelvo all the best for the future and I’m sure we will share the stage again. Big cheers to everyone that has made my time in Espionage fun as fuck and I’m looking forward to sharing a beer with the lot of ya (you know who you are). Peace out” – Oliver “Ollie” Raabe
On their Facebook page, Espionage then wished him the best, expressing:
Espionage wish Ollie the best with his studies and future projects. We’ve had the best laughs, the best jams, the best gigs and the best drunk nights with him! It’s been a fun ride!
You can catch Ollie’s last performance with Espionage on January 9 at the Bendigo Hotel, where the band are due to perform alongside fellow local acts Elm Street, Harlott, Wild Violet and Mason (who will be launching their EP that night). Espionage will be headlining the show with a 40 minute set, so, in the words of the band, “make sure you’re there so we can give Ollie a proper send off and party with him all night!”
