News : Claim The Throne Announce 10 Year Anniversary Tour

By on July 8, 2015

So this awesome news dropped recently!

Presented by Prime Cuts Music, Perth’s Claim The Throne have announced a ten year anniversary tour that will incorporate Australia’s major cities and their upcoming tour of Japan. Kicking off on July 31 at the Amplifier Bar, Perth, the tour will consecutively run until September 6 with their final date at the Barwon Club in Geelong.

It’s been said to expect an impressive setlist that will incorporate music from their decade long career.

Ten years ago, in a galaxy far far away… Well, Perth… 5 drunkards with
an urge for triumph raided the local scene claiming to play a heavy brand of
folk metal. It was a genre making waves in Europe, but it’s place in
Australia was unheard of. Nonetheless, CLAIM THE THRONE made their presence
felt very quickly with a stage show that included axes & swords, chainmailed
singers, cloaked guitarists, cooked meals, and a lot of booze flowing from
the ‘funnel techs’, with a sound featuring catchy keyboards and acoustic
guitars entwined with blackened death.

Since then, the band has 4 highly acclaimed releases, a shitload of
hilarious memories, and toured endlessly sharing Perth metal with the world!
This tour will pay tribute to the band’s history with the scene that joined
them for the ride!
Expect an extended set with songs from every CLAIM THE THRONE release, plus
all the antics you’ve grown to know and love.

At time of posting, only the event page for the Sydney show at the Bald Faced Stag on September 4 has so far been posted, but more are expected to be added soon:

Tickets will be sold on the door on the night of the shows.
