News : Artwork, Tracklisting & Concept Revealed For Orpheus Omega’s ‘Partum Vita Mortem’
The official cover art, tracklisting, and concept behind ‘Partum Vita Mortem’, the upcoming third album from Melbourne melodic death metallers Orpheus Omega, has been released. The news was shared via Orpheus Omega’s Facebook page.
The concept behind Partum Vita Mortem:
Existence is cyclical. Partum Vita Mortem explores all the aspects that make us who we are, from our earliest beginnings to the very end of our journeys. Partum (Birth), Vita (Life) and Mortem (Death). These three distinct but interweaved aspects of existence are portrayed both musically and lyrically across 13 tracks that bring this concept to life. In an era where we often forget to experience and reflect on every moment we have, this album brings to the fore the struggles we all must face on our own journey.

The artwork which presents at its centre a mysterious figure lost in thought is beautifully understated in its delivery. Showing rather the ubiquitous nature of birth, life, and death, and that of existence itself, it shows Orpheus Omega moving into a new era of the band, and will in turn likely show the evolution of their music also.
The artwork was processed by Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquillity) at Cabin Fever Media, who last year also did the artwork for them with their Archways Across Asia tour DVD.
‘Partum Vita Mortem’ will be released on July 24th via Kolony Records.
