News : Australian Exclusive: Shape of Despair feature new track
Finnish doom metallers Shape of Despair have unveiled the brand new track taken from their amazing new album ‘Monotony Fields’, which will be available from Season of Mist (Worldwide) and Nerve Gas (Australia) on June 15th.
Shape of Despair have revealed the title of their next full-length. The doom masterpiece will make your skin crawl under the name of ‘Monotony Fields’. The album has been scheduled for release on the 15th of June 2015 (June 16th in North America). Pre-sale will commence mid-April, which will also mark the unleashing of the album’s cover art, a brand new song, and the tracklist.
Season of Mist have recently welcomed Shape of Despair proudly back to their roster. The band commented: “We are proud to announce Season of Mist as our new label. Since our latest album ‘Illusion’s Play’ was released 10 years ago, we can already reveal that our long awaited follow-up full-length will express misery in new ways. As we have published EP’s and our first releases via various labels, we are pleased to have found a steady home and look forward to a long lasting partnership.”
Guitarist, Jarno Salomaa shares his thoughts on the new material.
Monotony Fields’ is the song which reflects the album and it’s atmosphere the most. A slow trip into the mind of desperation.
