News : Music for Nations gets local distribution
Music For Nations, the celebrated British independent rock and metal record label responsible for signing, collaborating and distributing the likes of Metallica, Tool, Opeth, Manowar, Cradle of Filth and Paradise Lost (among others), are back in business. Sony Music Entertainment Australia is proud to announce the local distribution of Music For Nations digital and physical products in Australia.
In 2004, Music For Nations closed down and the company’s catalogue was transferred over to a parent company, Zomba Records. Zomba Records is now owned by Sony Music Entertainment.
Music For Nations is currently lining up a plethora of back catalogue releases, which include; LPs, reissued/remastered digipaks and 7″ singles from some of the label’s high grossing and influential bands.
Available in April 2015, Liverpool’s Anathema release their Music For Nations back catalogue. Songwriter and guitarist Daniel Cavanagh shares his excitement.
I’m really happy that after all these years, the Music For Nations era ofAnathema music is finally receiving the attention, respect and treatment it deserves. It has been a great pleasure to work on this package. Everything from supplying the additional artwork, the remastering process of the albums, and the chance to add a surprise or two, has been a wonderful process.
Also planned for release in 2015/2016 will be Paradise Lost’s back catalogue expanded and remastered. Also released as special reissues will be Opeth’s three seminal albums,BLACKWATER PARK, DAMNATION and DELIVERANCE. Spiritual Beggar’s back catalogue will be released on LP for the first time, as well as Cradle of Filth and other Music For Nations artists to be confirmed shortly.
