News : Australian premiere: Black Sheep Wall full album stream
California brutal sludge metal natives, Black Sheep Wall have been hard at work on their third studio album, ‘I’m Going To Kill Myself’. The colourfully titled album is set for release on January 26th via Season of Mist (Worldwide) and Nerve Gas (Australia).
Roughly 2 months ago we posted a premiere track off the forthcoming new album titled, ‘White Pig’. From today we are streaming the album in full for your auditory pleasure. Pre-order your copy today from this link.
‘I’m Going to Kill Myself’ is the sonic equivalent to a crippling punch into the belly. BLACK SHEEP WALL deliver an album that does not want to make nice, or sound pretty, or go for a compromise. With the precision of a manic dentist, the Americans put their heavy sludge drill where it hurts the most. BLACK SHEEP WALL spew forth such pitch black hatred that it is hard to believe in their origins from the sunny state of California, USA. Yet the now quartet was founded in the year 2006 by a bunch of middle school kids playing together in Moorpark, which is located in the greater area of Los Angeles.
Bursting from energy, BLACK SHEEP WALL remained in constant turmoil, changed their lineup several times, wrote songs and erased them again. Despite the continued chaos, debut album ‘I Am God Songs’ was released in 2008 and created an immediate buzz in the underground. Regardless of the success, the Californians chose self-inflicted obscurity, before staging a surprise return with the sophomore ‘No Matter Where It Ends’ (2012), an album as heavy as dark and yet catchy as it can be. This was followed by the EP ‘It Begins Again’ (2013), which witnessed the departure of singer Trae Malone in its wake. His vocal duties were internally taken over by bass player Brandon Gillichbauer, who added an extra dimension of extremity to the mix. Now BLACK SHEEP WALL are ready to unleash ‘I’m Going to Kill Myself’ onto an unsuspecting world with four challenging tracks that combined run over 60 minutes of playing time. If the cynical cover-artwork of Jeff Rogers fooled you into expecting something fluffy, take a closer look and prepare to be hit by an ancient force in modern disguise. Warning: Listening to ‘I’m Going to Kill Myself’ might prove to be more dangerous than expected…
