News : Killrazer release new single “Salt in the Wound”
Sydney based thrash/death metal band, Killrazer, have unveiled their new single “Salt in the Wound” off their forthcoming album ‘The Burial Begins’, due out 2015 and engineered by legendary Australian producer Darren “Jenk” Jenkins.
Salt In The Wound displays all the bands strengths at once. Monstrous downpicked riffage, pummelling double kicks coupled with a huge cracking snare, their distinct twin-vocal attack, virtuosic guitar soloing AND a tempo that is guaranteed to snap your neck.Experts at blending old school thrash and death metal, Killrazer consists of some of the most experienced and accomplished veterans from the Australian metal scene.Singer/guitarist Doug Dalton (Grungeon, Dark Order), Zoran Mrakic (Dark Order, Divine Electric) on bass/vocals, guitar virtuoso Jimmy Lardner-Brown (Vaticide),and Luke Cook on drums (Mortal Sin, Carbon Black), the band are veterans of the Australian metal scene.Since releasing their self titled EP in 2009 the band has become one of the countries go to headline acts and has supported the likes of Children Of Bodom, Malevolent Creation, Sodom, Vader, Krisiun and Dismember.Killrazer served as ex-Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Dianno’s backing band for his 2009 and 2010 Aust & NZ tours andDoug and Jimmy have also toured as part of Tim Ripper Owens and Blaze Bayley’s bands for their Australian tours.Recently, the band also completed a national tour as the main support for European metal titans Coroner
With cover art that bears striking resemblance in style to that of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion The Frozen Throne, the single “Salt the Wound” has already been featured as part of the Australian metal compilation ‘The Euphony Fusion’ and the ‘West Australian Stormrider Festival’. The B-side track “Seven Years” has also been seen on the Belgian compilation ‘Slowly We Rot’ where it is situated comfortably between new tracks from the likes of Epica and Obitauary.
